By using origami, you can fold paper (2D material) and create a doubleruled surface. This method is something I`m inspired by. The posibility to make strong objects out of thin materials.
Hyperbolic paraboloid is a sadleformed shape who you often can find in the nature. And here you can see a tutorial how to make a hyperbolic paraboloid out of paper. Very fun!
